Sebastiano Gabutti is 16 years old and from Italy. Sebastiano placed 10th at the 3D Masters. Very recently, Gabutti won the Sports class of the Italian F3C championships.

Both these young pilots are flying the Mikado Logo 600 and are using the Hyperion Generation 3 (G3) lipo packs that are providing unrivaled performance and reliability.

First German Hyperion Flying Day a Huge Hit

Club in orange - Hyperion team in blue

Club in orange - Hyperion team in blue

On May 2nd 2009, a new concept was introduced for the first time in Germany. In fact, the concept is new all-over. With more than 25 Hyperion models rigged up for teacher-student flights, no RC company has previously granted such risk-free access to test flights. Our 6 experienced pilots took people with varying experience in the air to present the models in their element and allow guest control.

The day was organized with fantastic help from the dedicated members of MSG Keltern, a perfectly located club near Stuttgart, Bavaria. Weather could not have been more perfect and we have never flown in a more beautiful scenery. Huge thanks for your great help and hospitality!

Both Hyperion aerobatic models and warbirds were available for test flying and were extensively flown. Between test flight sessions, the day saw some impressive models and flights from local members and guests as well as from Hyperion Team members Max Ebert and Gerhard Hanssmann.

During the past 2 years, the Hyperion Europe show team has perfected the test flying concept in Scandinavia and we are now rolling it out across Europe. We hope to bring it to a club near you in the future – we’d love to hear from you if your club could be interested in helping us host a Hyperion Flying Day. We have several concepts to offer. Please contact us at info at hyperion-eu dot com

Airmix Flieger-TV was on-site. Stay tuned for a video from the event.

Enjoy some pictures from our day in Dietlingen – thank you Aufwind, MSG Keltern, LAS Lippis and all friends and test pilots!

Hyperion FW190-D9 “Dora” 25e – on the slope

See our new Focke Wulf fly on a slope in windy Northern Denmark. Hanstholm where the video was shot today is a unique spot with slopes facing all wind directions, separated by less than 6-7 minutes by car.

The D9 in the video is an early prototype and the paint scheme is not matching the production version – click the image below the video to see the box label. More information will be posted on the site shortly.

Hyperion Enters Car Market for LiPos

SWIFT hard case racing pack

SWIFT hard case racing pack

By a mix of hard case race packs and classic end-cap style lipo packs, Hyperion now enters the market of 1/10 and 1/12 RC cars with the new SWIFT CAR Series. With capacities from 2800mAh til 5000mAh these new SWIFT packs can be used for sports driving as well as racing.

Hyperion SWIFT CAR Classic packs are familiar to all racers, in that the packaging mimics a typical 6-cell car NiMH pack – so you know it’ll fit – but contains a high-rate, large capacity 7.4V Lithium Polymer battery pack inside.

Classis Series

The classic series comes with a standard Tamiya connector attached, for stock brushed setups, or replace with a quality high-current connector (such as Deans, 4mm Gold Bullets, etc) for High-performance motors. The Balance connector natively fits the Hyperion-Style balance adapters which are included with all Hyperion EOS chargers.

Hard Case Race Series

These packs use an “Orion-Standard” Plug system of female 4mm bullets for main leads and a 2mm bullet balance connector (male connectors also included in package).

The Hyperion SWIFT CAR packs are available now across the World.
